To encourage continued financial support for St. John’s by clearly communicating the mission, impact, and personal significance of annual giving ahead of the 2026 stewardship year.
My Role
I led the communications and coordination for the campaign, overseeing concept development, messaging, design, and outreach. I worked closely with the treasurer to ensure financial clarity and accuracy throughout the materials.
What I Did
Developed the overall campaign messaging and narrative.
Wrote and designed the annual giving brochure.
Coordinated timelines, reviews, and approvals.
Collaborated with the treasurer to present financial information clearly and accessibly.
Conducted targeted outreach to selected parishioners, inviting them to share why St. John’s matters to them and why they continue to pledge.

Project: 2024 Holiday Essex Stroll
Role: Communications & Event Coordination Lead
Organization: St. John’s Episcopal ChurchThe Goal
To engage the local community during the Advent season, introduce guests to St. John’s history and programs, and provide clear information about Advent and Christmas services.
My Role
I led both the communications and event coordination for St. John’s participation, ensuring that guests had a welcoming, informative, and seamless experience.
What I Did
Collaborated with the Essex Historical Society to position St. John’s as a stop on the holiday stroll.
Developed and produced Advent & Christmas cards with program and service information.
Designed and distributed the winter newsletter for guests to take home.
Coordinated logistics for guest flow, complimentary snacks, hot cocoa, and restroom access.
Oversaw setup, signage, and staffing to create an inviting and organized experience.
Impact
Welcomed over 500 visitors through the church during the event.
Increased community awareness of St. John’s history, Advent programs, and Christmas services.
Provided tangible materials (cards & newsletter) that guests could reference afterward, supporting engagement and follow-up.
Strengthened St. John’s presence in the local community and fostered connections with historical and cultural partners.

Project: Parishioner Newsletter & Weekly eNews Redesign
Role: Communications & Content Lead

To streamline and enhance internal communications, ensuring parishioners are informed, engaged, and able to plan participation in church events and programs effectively.
My Role
I led a strategic overhaul of St. John’s communications, including rebranding weekly eNews and redesigning the newsletter cadence and content structure for optimal engagement.
What I Did
Transitioned from a monthly newsletter to a quarterly newsletter that highlights current stories, events, special services, and volunteer opportunities, helping parishioners plan their participation effectively.
Rebranded the weekly eNews using real church photography and engaging, category-based content for “what’s happening right now.”
Conducted a database audit, verifying current parishioners and visitors to improve targeting and relevance.
Ensured messaging was clear, visually appealing, and easy to navigate.
Impact
Increased engagement with the weekly eNews, boosting open and click rates from 50% to 72%.
Improved parishioners’ awareness and participation in events and volunteer opportunities.
Streamlined communications for efficiency while maintaining high-quality, meaningful content.
